Healthy Food equals a Strong Mind and Body

River Valley Middle School welcomes Chef Frank Horvat, a native Albertan, has brought not only his dynamic personality East but his savoury style as well! His studies have taken him from Edmonton to the ethnically rich countries of Germany, Croatia and Austria. It could be said that this is where his love affair with local, fresh from the land ingredients began. A ticketed Chef, and Baker he is also an entrepreneur. Founder of Knives for Chefs, a web based store specializing in culinary delights such as Organic fresh Herbs, Quail, and Truffle. Chef Frank caters to the both professional and aspiring connoisseur.

Friday's are Pizza Day at River Valley Middle School. Students prepare pizza for sale by the slice. These healthy pizza's are made from dough, tomato sauce, skim milk cheese and Tofu pepperoni.

Young Engineers Program

River Valley Middle School students involved in the Young Engineers Program will be putting their building skills to work at the District 8 Enrichment Center located Millidgeville North School from 9:00am to 2:30pm.

ASAP - after school activities new schedule starts October 26, 2009. This year students will have the opportunity to take part in Photography, Stained Glass, Crafts, Photo-Editing, Small Engine Repair, Chef Enrichment, Film Design, Film Making, Yearbook and Graphic Art. These programs run the total school year.
